Week 1 in Ogden Utah:
The kids spent most of their time playing with their cousins. Best of all, they all got along wonderfully! Grandma's yard was well stocked with kiddy swimming pools, toy cars, bikes, balls, fire pit and trampoline.
We went to a swim park that had super shallow spots for the itty bittys. And life jackets so I wasn't quite so paranoid. They had a blast.
We rode the train down to Salt Lake. That whole thing was quite the adventure! The kiddos loved looking out the windows while we were traveling and for the most part did awesome on the way down. When we got there we spent a good 20 minutes trying to put a bike stroller together for my 2 nieces. We didn't realize we could take the tram/trax/thingy for free so we ended up walking a few blocks over to the Gateway mall. By then the kids were all hungry and hot so we hunted down a McDonalds and fed them all. Did I mention there were 2 strollers, endless amounts of diaper bag gear along with 4 adults and 8 kids under 8? So now the parents are all tired. We called it a day and walked the few blocks back to the train station. Kids were screaming. Some guy who was high on some kind of drug kept trying to reach into my sister's stroller to pull out her crying baby. Talk about creepy! The train ride home was a lot harder with tired out kiddos and mamas. Well, we tried.
Saturday we headed to Lagoon. My kids loved it! Annaleise steered clear of anything that even closely resembled a roller coaster so we spent our time hanging out in the kiddy section.
All in all, a good week.
