We were scheduled to arrive in Hawaii on Sunday night. Due to problems with the airplane we made it to LAX 10 minutes before our connecting flight was scheduled to leave. We had a fun run through the airport (insert image from any movie of crazy people running and shoving others in a crowded airport) and missed our flight by 2 minutes.
We arrived Monday morning instead. We spent Monday afternoon at the beach. Pedro got himself a surfboard and had fun out in the water making his first attempts at surfing while I lounged around soaking up the sun on the beach. It was fun watching him get up, wobble and then fall back in the water.
In the evening we walked up and down the beach, out onto the piers just listening to the waves. Oh, so relaxing!
Oh, and one of the major highlights for Pedro was how big the tv in our room was. I'm talking 52", maybe bigger. He hugged the thing good-bye when it was time to check-out.
